Today, on the Justin Wayne Show, Larry Fulcher talks with Justin about music, how he got started, and how he
got started in Titty Bingo.
On getting into his first band: “I guess, at about the age of 15, one of my friends had a band and I really didn’t play an instrument although I sang in the church choir. They needed a singer, and being in a band, sounded like a cool idea. It was a better way to meet girls than being on the football team.”
When Larry made the decision to spend his life in music: “In ’67, I went to the Monterrey Pop Festival and that kind of cemented what I wanted to do with the rest of my life.”
On creating space around music: “What you don’t play sometimes is more important than what you do.”
On playing with Titty Bingo: “It’s fun man…it’s fun. It’s kind of like being in a garage band. We just go in, set up and go for it…and laugh a lot. I think that’s the secret to Bingo, we laugh a lot.”
There’s much more in the interview. You’llĀ hear rare cuts and a wide range of music from Larry’s career. Plus. there’s a couple great stories about songs Larry’s written.
